Director of Content

eCity Interactive is seeking a full-time Director of Content to drive clients’ brands and businesses by engaging audiences through compelling and impactful digital content.

The ideal candidate is a strong strategic thinker, seasoned leader, and exceptional writer/storyteller with experiences across a variety of content platforms. Tasked to build out our content practice, the ideal candidate will be responsible for overall production and creative strategies for multiple audiences and clients. This Director is the consumer/target audience champion who tracks and uncovers insights that translate into effective content strategies.


  • Owns the content marketing initiative, executes the program components, and is accountable for:

          –  Editorial calendar and schedule
          –  Content alignment
          –  Integration of marketing programs and required content across all channels
          –  Audience understanding
          –  Measurement and reporting

  • Articulates and leads content strategy development in support of the corporate and marketing goals across all channels – website, email, SMS, direct marketing, social media, paid advertising
  • Manages content across its full lifecycle, including content creation, aggregation and curation, monitoring for customer/prospect reaction, optimization, measurement and learning
  • Leads detailed editorial calendar development, scheduling, and governance
  • Works closely with content creators and syndicators – both internal teams and external creative and media agencies/publishing companies
  • Deeply understands key B2B and B2C audiences and their respective journeys, and develops personas that will influence content development
  • Creates a content marketing measurement and optimization program
  • Develops standard operating procedures for the planning, execution, optimization, distribution, and amplification of the organization’s content
  • Continuously identifies ways to innovate content creation & distribution (i.e., new formats or executions and emerging market opportunities)
  • Educates the organization on content development and marketing best practices
  • Helps shape the commercial offering of the agency and its content services in conjunction with the client services team


  • 10+ years of experience, ideally in content strategy and marketing and/or publication management. Some healthcare experience is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s a plus), preferably in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
  • B2B and B2C experience required
  • Strong knowledge of SEO and social media best practices, with a solid understanding of which content and approaches work best in which channel and why

Senior Designer

We are looking for a Senior Designer to produce and oversee digital and print creative solutions for our clients’ marketing needs. Additionally, you will serve the creative needs of eCity Interactive and Volt through our own branding and design efforts. To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of graphic design, styles and layout techniques. You should also have experience executing marketing projects from conception to production, including websites, print collateral and digital assets for social media.

Ultimately, you will ensure the design team produces and delivers high-quality creative products on tight deadlines.


  • Under the supervision and mentorship of our Art Director, you will oversee all design projects, from conception to delivery
  • Design original pieces, including creating graphic assets, illustrations and infographics
  • Review junior designers’ work to ensure a continued high bar with our creative deliverables
  • Refine images, fonts and layouts using graphic design software
  • Apply typography techniques
  • Generate ideas to illustrate concepts and advertise products/services
  • Increase user-friendliness in digital products
  • Maintain brand consistency throughout all projects
  • Liaise with marketing, project management, and design teams to ensure timelines are followed and deadlines are met

  • Proven work experience as a Senior Designer, Graphic Designer or similar role
  • Compelling portfolio of completed design projects (and the stories that accompany them)
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Sketch/InVision/Zeplin workflow experience is a big plus)
  • Working knowledge of CSS as it pertains to typography and design
  • Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colors, fonts and layouts
    (Motion/video experience is a plus)

Paid Search and Media Specialist

eCity Interactive is seeking a full-time Paid Search and Media Specialist to manage paid digital media campaigns for the agency and a diverse roster of clients including, SaaS, Higher Education, Finance, and Retail/Ecommerce. This individual will be responsible for the development, execution, and reporting activities of paid search, paid social media, and display advertising.


  • Manage execution and performance of search, display, social, and programmatic campaigns through the full account management life cycle
  • Analyze and communicate online campaign delivery and performance metrics on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Develop near and long-term paid media strategies that increase revenue, leads, and conversions
  • Keyword research, ad copy creation, and ad creative recommendations
  • Campaign setup and optimization
  • Create & manage persona-driven A/B and multivariate testing for various web-based initiatives including ad copy testing, landing page testing, funnel optimization, etc.
  • Maintain and monitor automated keyword bidding, account budget, ROI, etc.
  • Speak regularly with clients to discuss results and make recommendations around placements and campaign optimization
  • Stay up to date on the latest digital PPC, social, and other media trends


  • 4+ years managing moderate to large-scale PPC and display accounts (AdWords, Bing, Google Ads)
  • 3+ years experience with Facebook Ads and LinkedIn Ads
  • Extensive knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Experience with conversion tracking, tagging, and pixel management is preferred

Freelance Designers

eCity Interactive is seeking to identify one or more exceptional designers to develop engaging and effective digital experiences, including websites, ebooks, and in-house marketing materials. Ideal candidates would collaborate seamlessly with our design, development, marketing, and project management teams, located in our Philadelphia offices.


  • Ability to take a website project from concept to development hand-off, including site mapping, concepting, wireframing, designing, and prototyping
